History
Tom Williams Elementary School was built in honor of Thomas L. Williams, the founder of the city of North Las Vegas. His commitment to education led to the building of this school in 1957. Later on, Tom Williams was remodeled. When it was done, it had 2 stories, about 82,100 square feet of land, and around 958 students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Last year, Tom Williams celebrated the school's 60th anniversary. The dedication of Thomas L. William's memory was led by the efforts of the 1992-93 G.A.T.E class.
Tom Williams honors students and teachers that have sadly passed away through memorials. In 2018 the students of Tom Williams had a fundraiser for children diagnosed with leukemia and they raised over $7,000 for this cause.
